CHIMO
Crisis Services is governed
by a Board of Directors
of up to twelve individuals
that reflect the diversity
of the Richmond community.
Board members bring a
wide range of knowledge,
skills, interests,
abilities, age, and cultural
backgrounds to their work.
Two of the twelve positions
are held for young adults.
New members are recruited
each year to ensure that
the composition of the
Board remains diverse
and well rounded.
The essential business
of the Board is governance:
articulating the mission
and the vision, creating
policy, setting direction,
and evaluating performance.
In conducting its business,
the Board emphasizes outward
vision, strategic leadership,
future focus, and a proactive
approach. The Board operates
under a code of conduct,
which outlines how individual
members will function
together to support the
interests and work of
the organization.
